The KGOIII method has been well documented through the years, not at least by the Swedish Road Authorities. The method has been very well received by people who has worked with the method – management as well as the people working on the asphalt plants and on the roads with the pavings.

Here are some statements.

SWEDISH ROAD AUTHORITIES
The texture becomes smoother on the road with this asphalt and thus life cycle increases. We gain both in the environmental aspect and in reduced production costs.
Henrik Hamrin, project manager at the Swedish Road Authorities

I have been waiting for the Swedish Road Authorities to make a licens agreement for the KGOIII method. I really believe in this. There was no hesitation when the agreement was ready.
Henrik Hamrin, project manager at the Swedish Road Authorities

KGOIII is a well documented technique that has been developed in several stages. Correctly mixed, the KGOIII method results in a very homogeneous mix with low risk for separations.
Kristina Martinsson, project manager at the Swedish Road Authorities

The method has several advantages, maybe most of all a better quality. But what is most striking is that the asphalt has to be mixed at a lower temperature and with less bituminous liquid than in a conventional production.
Mats Wendel, National Coordinator and Senior Advisor in the Road Pavements area at the Swedish Road Authority

The effects of the method has been thoroughly investigated. The mixes has not shown any tendency to deformation at all.
Mats Wendel, National Coordinator and Senior Advisor in the Road Pavements area at the Swedish Road Authority

KGO will set higher standards for competitors.

VTI (SWEDISH NATIONAL ROAD AND TRANSPORT RESEARCH INSTITUTE)
Also laboratory tests on cored samples show that KGO III pavements after three years’ traffic still have good durability, tested through stiffness modulus and wear resistance before and after a special winter condition method developed at VTI.

ENTREPRENEURS
The stickyness remains and the life span of the asphalt pavement is longer than with the conventional. The samples we have taken shows that the results of the KGOIII paving are good.
Magnus Kask, project manager at Skanska

Smoke is reduced, that is what we notice most about this new paving. The KGOIII method is more health-friendly, making the work more favorable for us.
Patrick Juhlin, asphalt paver at Skanska

It is so much better with KGOIII, in comparison to when there is lot of smoke – it makes a lot of difference for us.
Peter Andersson, asphalt paver at Skanska

Peab Asphalt has adapted several asphalt plants, in order to produce KGO mixes, that is a form of low temperature asphalt mix, with temperature reductions upp to 25°C.
